📖 How to host (read me first)
This screen is the TV. Open it on whatever the room watches: a laptop
on HDMI, AirPlay from a Mac or iPad, or a smart TV browser. Everything runs in
the cloud, so it works at any house; all you need is internet and the party code.
Build the playlist on this page, or hit Load "2000s Throwback"
for a ready-made 60. The song and artist fields on each clip are the answers
the game accepts, so fix any that look wrong.
Pick a mode.Party: friends' phones are the buzzers, points and
drinks. Classic: no phones, it just plays like a jukebox power hour.
Enter the party code (ask Rene) and hit START THE HOUR.
Friends join from the lobby screen: they scan the QR with their phone
camera, or go to this site's /play page and type the 4-letter room code
and their name. You'll see them appear as they join.
Scoring (Party mode): song = 50, artist = 50, both in one guess = 100.
For 5 seconds after someone claims a half, a full song + artist guess
steals the whole 100. Everyone drinks at the horn between clips.
💡 Keep this tab in the foreground and the device plugged in;
browsers freeze background tabs, which pauses the game. A phone that drops off
wifi can rejoin with the same room code and name and pick right back up.
